The seventh edition of Fantastic Film Festival Australia is here and this time it’s coming to Brunswick. This weekend catch either Paolo Strippoli’s The Holy Boy or the not-quite-cult-classic The Astrologer at Brunswick Picture house.

Australian electronic music pioneers Anthony Pappa and Kasey Taylor join forces for 40/40 Vision, a national tour marking an incredible 40 years of shaping the sound of dance music.

Cost: $40.26 a ticket

Kirtan at CERES is a chance to slow the weekend right down. Devotional call-and-response chanting set to live music, held in the Learning Centre at CERES on the auspicious festival of Akshaya Tritiya, meaning "Eternal Blessings." Bring a cushion, settle in, and stay for chai and sweets afterwards.

Cost: $25

Mend in Public Day is a hands-on act of resistance against fast fashion. Bring a loved-but-busted garment and learn to resew buttons, darn holes, and patch like a pro with guidance from a seasoned mender. Some supplies provided, but bring your own kit if you can.

When: April 26th, 2pm
